Diesel, petrol, electric or hybrid: which to choose?

Diesel, petrol, electric or hybrid: which to choose?

Choosing the engine type is one of the most important decisions when buying a car. We'll help you decide.

Petrol

Ideal for town use and short journeys. Less maintenance than diesel, quieter engines and less pollution in town.

Diesel

Recommended if you drive more than 25.000 km a year and a lot of motorway miles. Lower consumption and more torque.

Electric

Minimal running costs, ZERO label and total silence. You need to be able to charge at home or at work.

Hybrid (HEV / PHEV)

The perfect middle ground. HEVs don't plug in; PHEVs do, and give you 50-80 km of pure electric driving.

If petrol suits you, take a look at the 2023 Cupra León 1.5 automatic or the Ford Focus 1.6 Trend. If you do a lot of miles, in diesel we have the Audi A4 Avant S line or the Skoda Octavia 2.0. All our petrol and diesel stock is in the catalogue.
